Hi all, Kristen here. Recently Mr. James H. Rust wrote up an article regarding our feature film, Transgenesis, saying “An attempt to create more scares about the use of genetically modified food is described in the following e-mail sent by Kristen that describes a movie “Transgensis” in which GM Food causes a contagious disease that destroys the mind.”
This is exactly the type of media frenzy our film Transgenesis explores. If you continue to read the article, he posts the entire email we sent him, and if you read it, you see that nowhere do we say that “GM Food causes the contagious disease”. Our movie explores a contagious disease that destroys the mind that people believe is believed to be linked to genetically modified foods and the media frenzy that accompanies that paranoia. The movie has been developing, as you can read from this ongoing blog, and we have toyed around with many different ideas. But we stand solidly behind our current draft, where our ideas are based in science and the fear is created by those who listen to every bit of propaganda they hear.
As you have seen for our recent blog posts, we are asking questions to many different professionals on the subject of GM foods and trying to start an informed conversation. We will continue with this science-based research and reflect our findings in the movie.
